About Ugram U-51
U-51 is dvipa’s flagship product designed for India’s Defence and armed police forces through ARDE’s development contract.
The Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and their divisions conducted extensive trials of the U51 rifle according to GSQR parameters.

U-51 being lightweight (4 kgs only), and 95 cm in length makes it easy to use as an Assault Rifle also.
dvipa completed the development and handed over 5 prototypes in a record 100 days.
The CAPF found U51 not only performed exceedingly well in the GSQR parameters but also reported it was superior to its peers in handling, functional and ergonomic aspects.
U-51 is technically a Battle Rifle as it is accurate upto 500 yards (Assault Rifles like AK-47 has accuracy only upto 350 yards)
